<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruins_of_St._Paul%27s" target="_blank">Ruins of St Paul</a>, one of the famous landmark in Macau and one of the UNESCO World Heritage. We passed by here at the first night and surprised that it was really packed with locals and foreigners. And second day, we were here again.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
The evening weather was good. We really enjoyed relaxing at Ruins of St Paul and observing the locals and tourists. LOL. The little girl was happily running around. :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
We then walked around the Senado Square and walked further to a narrow lane opposite Senado Square to dinner. Walked into a cramp and small restaurant (in fact, most of the coffee shops or restaurants in Macau are like that) for dinner. We had duck claypot rice and also chicken claypot rice. Taste wise, it was too salty for me, especially the duck claypot rice. After dinner, we walked again towards the main road and passed by Cheung Kei noodle house, which I wanted to have dinner on our first night!! Sigh... </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
We then took taxi back to hotel and called it a day. We went to Coloane Village next day! :) </div>

We did not spend much time at Venetian. After about 1-2 hours at Venetian, we took taxi to Rua do Cunha. Rua do Cunha is a narrow street at Vila da Taipa, the town centre of Taipa island. It is a must visit place for tourists. :) The taxi driver told us it is actually very near and walkable distance. But we don't even know the direction where it is from Venetian, so might as well take taxi. We reached within 10 minutes. :p <br />
<br />
To go Rua do Cunha from Venetian, walk to your right from the Venetian bus terminal. Follow the walk path that bring you to the overhead bridge. Follow the direction and you will pass The Taipa Houses of Museum (building in green). Walked towards the stairscase and walk further and you will reach back end of Rua do Cunha. :)<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Very tasty stir fry clams with garlic, olive oil and coriander. The meat was so huge compared to Malaysia!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Deep fried pork's hand. The skin was crispy (and hard) but the meat was tender and juicy. The skin was hard for me. But my MIL said it was alright. </div>

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
With the heavy tummy with us, we shopped around Rua do Cunha. Me and my MIL visited one shop to another shop and basically window shopping. We end up bought some accessories for ourselves at one of the accessories shop at Rua do Cunha. The husband bought souvenirs for his colleagues and I managed to grab a cute fridge magnet too. :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
We also had coffee break at the Starbucks, and had the famous sawdust pudding from Gelatina Mok Yi Kei!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Sawdust pudding at MOP15. It is a creamy pudding with biscuits crumbs on top of it. My verdict - OK lah. Nothing to shout. Really. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
My girl had wan tan mee at one of the local coffee shop at Rua do Cunha after she woke up from nap. The price was so much cheaper than Wong Chi Kei and my MIL said it was even tastier than Wong Chi Kei. LOL. </div>

<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
How can you leave Macau without trying the famous and highly rave Portuguese egg tarts? I have two bakery shops in mind that I must try, Margaret's Cafe and Lord Stow Bakery. For breakfast, we were going to Margaret's Cafe. We do not know the direction on how to go, and leading the big group, I rather take taxi. :) So, we took 2 taxis to Margaret's Cafe. Just tell the taxi driver that you want to go Margaret's Cafe for portuguese egg tart and he will bring you there! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1KjzQSMVCEc/U7Flk3quGeI/AAAAAAAAF-I/RZ8BoZeuXJM/s1600/P1090250.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1KjzQSMVCEc/U7Flk3quGeI/AAAAAAAAF-I/RZ8BoZeuXJM/s1600/P1090250.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
It was a little bit crowded in the morning. Perhaps locals drop by to tapau the egg tarts to work. I saw few ladies/gentlemen in working suit. :) Limited seats, but luckily we managed to grab ourselves a set few minutes later. They have more varieties than portuguese egg tarts. What I like is the sandwich station, where you can choose the bread and fillings.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-VZp7Qk6WxU0/U7FncNf241I/AAAAAAAAF-U/KtsbG_jn6Sk/s1600/P1090243.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-VZp7Qk6WxU0/U7FncNf241I/AAAAAAAAF-U/KtsbG_jn6Sk/s1600/P1090243.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Flaky,crispy and buttery pastry, freshly baked egg custard fillings that are soft, sweet and silky smooth! Malaccan use to get the so called best portuguese egg tarts in Melaka at Italy Bakery shop. But wait until you try this! All the portuguese egg tarts in Malaysia gotta step aside. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-4oNtDnChWIM/U7bNS65TH5I/AAAAAAAAF-k/nFURHX65AwI/s1600/P1090244.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-4oNtDnChWIM/U7bNS65TH5I/AAAAAAAAF-k/nFURHX65AwI/s1600/P1090244.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
MIL ordered simple sandwich with lettuce and chicken bits. A little bit too dry. MIL thought there would be mayonise added, but no. You have to order that separately.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-S9EyAFrteEU/U7bPLjm_wQI/AAAAAAAAF-w/DQTNFVAimAw/s1600/P1090246.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-S9EyAFrteEU/U7bPLjm_wQI/AAAAAAAAF-w/DQTNFVAimAw/s1600/P1090246.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I can't remember what pizza is this. But it was generous with meat fillings!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<strong><em>Margaret's Cafe e Nata</em></strong></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<em>Gum Loi Building, Rua Alm Costa Cabral R/C,</em></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<em>Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro, Macau</em></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<em>Opening hours: Daily from 630am to 10pm (closed on Wed)</em></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<em></em> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
We went back to our hotel for free shuttle bus to The Venetian Macau! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-noG7SXZlG-g/U7bS8S6fNOI/AAAAAAAAF_I/V8yzBEy_u6c/s1600/P1090251.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-noG7SXZlG-g/U7bS8S6fNOI/AAAAAAAAF_I/V8yzBEy_u6c/s1600/P1090251.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Took photo while waiting for our shuttle bus to arrive. This girl is so lovely and sweet in this photo. :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ULdOa0NFORM/U7bT1XiymhI/AAAAAAAAF_Q/NOFIImTmcXs/s1600/P1090252.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ULdOa0NFORM/U7bT1XiymhI/AAAAAAAAF_Q/NOFIImTmcXs/s1600/P1090252.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
A little bit crazy shot! hahaha </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
So the shuttle bus was actually very punctual! Oh wait! The shuttle bus service is only for the hotel guests. So, the guests need to register and book probably a day before. The journey took about 15-20 minutes and I was enjoying looking out the window and therefore, no photo! LOL!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pFDklABH2_E/U7bU4KDmtvI/AAAAAAAAF_c/UX4QMxMCP0I/s1600/P1090256.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pFDklABH2_E/U7bU4KDmtvI/AAAAAAAAF_c/UX4QMxMCP0I/s1600/P1090256.JPG" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
We were greeted by Optimus Prime once we got into The Venetian Macau! Cool right? LOL. It was so happen that they were having Transformers Expo there! But we did not go in <em>la</em>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XWdK__QPcGM/U7bWlq-xouI/AAAAAAAAF_o/DcgtCzqpZEc/s1600/P1090261.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XWdK__QPcGM/U7bWlq-xouI/AAAAAAAAF_o/DcgtCzqpZEc/s1600/P1090261.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KOTq9pEpt8M/U7bXv8TQRDI/AAAAAAAAF_0/8y_3_7eov0s/s1600/P1090259.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KOTq9pEpt8M/U7bXv8TQRDI/AAAAAAAAF_0/8y_3_7eov0s/s1600/P1090259.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
A must tourist photo? Everyone was lining up to take photo with this tall dressed man! So, we also join-<em>lah</em>! ^^</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9JvAfFchsaw/U7bY-DQ5FsI/AAAAAAAAGAA/63IPZSxjl1w/s1600/P1090262.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9JvAfFchsaw/U7bY-DQ5FsI/AAAAAAAAGAA/63IPZSxjl1w/s1600/P1090262.JPG" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
The gondola rides! The gondolier was very entertaining. He would sing while riding the boat. At one time, he would stops to sing and also play musical instrument!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Nf52K8g3P4g/U7bZ1rcpdeI/AAAAAAAAGAI/PFG9HmytFdE/s1600/P1090263.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Nf52K8g3P4g/U7bZ1rcpdeI/AAAAAAAAGAI/PFG9HmytFdE/s1600/P1090263.JPG" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
So this girl was very happy because she thought she would have a chance hop into one of the gondola rides! LOL!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8nPRmnAud1g/U7bcEEc1RaI/AAAAAAAAGAU/uyCbJ0Yk2hA/s1600/P1090264.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8nPRmnAud1g/U7bcEEc1RaI/AAAAAAAAGAU/uyCbJ0Yk2hA/s1600/P1090264.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Then I saw a signboard wrote "Kid's Playzone". So I was excited to bring my girl to check it out. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YljHM4n6rno/U7bc3o1JkSI/AAAAAAAAGAc/wG8mRrfl4nM/s1600/P1090265.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YljHM4n6rno/U7bc3o1JkSI/AAAAAAAAGAc/wG8mRrfl4nM/s1600/P1090265.JPG" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
On the walkway into the registration counter, there are few "ha-ha" mirrors! The girl was having fun looking at herself at the mirror! Even my MIL was laughing non stop! hahaha!!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/--xuVvQqVXLs/U7beHB-GRxI/AAAAAAAAGAo/_qs5dWWF6kE/s1600/P1090267.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/--xuVvQqVXLs/U7beHB-GRxI/AAAAAAAAGAo/_qs5dWWF6kE/s1600/P1090267.JPG" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Aiks...everyone became shortie! hahahaha</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-zU2ksnjfrvY/U7be8u7xUFI/AAAAAAAAGAw/RASggvlFBrQ/s1600/P1090269.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-zU2ksnjfrvY/U7be8u7xUFI/AAAAAAAAGAw/RASggvlFBrQ/s1600/P1090269.JPG" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
So we walked to the registration counter and found out that we have to pay in order to go in. The price was expectedly expensive. So my poor girl did not get to play. :(</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2flmB7DiXT4/U7kVuQnVXdI/AAAAAAAAGBM/lxlUmq7cfsk/s1600/20140615_122011.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2flmB7DiXT4/U7kVuQnVXdI/AAAAAAAAGBM/lxlUmq7cfsk/s1600/20140615_122011.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>

I have so many things want to blog but I just do not have the luxury time to sit down to blog. I want to blog about my baking, my cooking and my travel! I think I am going to blog about my travelling first before my memory fade. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I managed to book very cheap air ticket to Macau last year. Yeah, you read it correct. LAST YEAR. Air Asia always has those zero fare promotion for next year flight. So, you gotta plan your travelling at least 6-12 months time ahead in order to grab the cheap air ticket. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
There were total of 10 pax travelling togather this round and I was actually kinda nervous. Why? Because I was the only one planning for the itinerary, booking, etc. There were elderly and kids. So, I had least expectation to this trip. Furthermore, it was in June! What a hottest month in Macau! How to walk under the hot and humid weather??!! Oh ya, I was going with my parents in law, and my sister's family and her mother in law. :)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So, my father in law (FIL) booked a coach to pick us from home to KLIA2. FIL has cheaper contact than me, so he booked the coach. It costs RM400 for round trip, from Melaka to KLIA2. It was a smooth check-in and boarding. While waiting for boarding, of course we cam-whore! :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JtpW5hMAN8o/U7AcA6MmzQI/AAAAAAAAF7Y/db1zU36yiEI/s1600/20140614_103653_resized_1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JtpW5hMAN8o/U7AcA6MmzQI/AAAAAAAAF7Y/db1zU36yiEI/s1600/20140614_103653_resized_1.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
We reached Macau airport about 15 minutes earlier. After cleared the custom and collected our luggage, we looked for the airport free shuttle counter from our hotel, <a href="http://www.hotelroyal.com.mo/" target="_blank">Royal Hotel</a>. We waited for the next schedule, which was at 5pm. The bus came on sharp. The shuttle bus can accomodate about 15 pax. But it is good for us, 10 pax with luggages and 2 strollers. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
It took about 15-20 minutes from airport to the hotel. The check in was smooth. The front line staff were friendly. Surprisingly, this hotel has its own casino, which I really do not know before I booked this hotel. My sister's MIL was very happy about it! LOL. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5VPctt1H7DM/U7AlnrErKkI/AAAAAAAAF8U/HKZnUojtdzc/s1600/P1090229.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5VPctt1H7DM/U7AlnrErKkI/AAAAAAAAF8U/HKZnUojtdzc/s1600/P1090229.JPG" height="400" width="300" /></a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
The kids were very happy with the free gift from the reception. Each of the kids were given two stickers/coloring books and color pencil. :) </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Rn5QqKu1sok/U7AmsF4htQI/AAAAAAAAF8g/O6RU1Iz9utA/s1600/P1090220.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Rn5QqKu1sok/U7AmsF4htQI/AAAAAAAAF8g/O6RU1Iz9utA/s1600/P1090220.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
We were given room at the top floor! So, the city view was good! The room is spacious and clean!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Her obligatory stuff that she must do. Jumping on the bed to test if the bed is solid and good! LOL!! Anyway, the bed is big and we can sleep in comfortably with 2 adults and 1 kid. </div>

The toiletries provided. Aigner! The body lotion is smelling so good! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I did not managed to take much photo of the room, but the room was up to my expectation. Hair dryer, ironing board, TV, slippers, toiletries, complimentary coffee and tea, 2 water bottles replenish everyday are all provided. The only complain is slow internet connection in the room. It also has bathtub in the bathroom, which my girl loves the most. Bathroom was the place she checked out once she stepped into the room and immediately told us that she wanted to take bath! LOL! So, this girl had her long bath and both me and husband not managed to take bath and have to straight went out for dinner. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
With the map on my hand, I asked the front line the direction to go to Rua Da Delicidade, for Cheung Kei Noodle House. According to the front line, it is located near Senado Square. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
We reached Ruins of St Paul after about 15-20mins walk and it was crowded! We just passedby and not taking any photos, but look for food. LOL! End up, we not managed to find Cheung Kei, but we saw Wong Chi Kei Noodle House. So, we just settled our dinner at Wong Chi Kei at Senado Square. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Cool idea! Lift to transport the food from ground floor to first or even second floor! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<em>Har-Zi</em> Noodle, aka shrimp roe noodle. One of the signature noodle that you must try if you are in Macau! The noodle is springly and very thin, thinner than our local wantan noodles here. For me, the taste is very unique. My MIL does not fancy this as she does not like the shrimp roe taste. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Lw4RlSQH45k/U7EyUR-OCdI/AAAAAAAAF9s/-SQS3dVTtEg/s1600/P1090237.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Lw4RlSQH45k/U7EyUR-OCdI/AAAAAAAAF9s/-SQS3dVTtEg/s1600/P1090237.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
We also ordered the signature sui kows. Each piece of sui kows was generous with filling of prawns, minced pork, carrot and also water chestnuts! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-YrSpV6WU_BA/U7E07NAAOKI/AAAAAAAAF94/Pw3fNnEPeRI/s1600/P1090235.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-YrSpV6WU_BA/U7E07NAAOKI/AAAAAAAAF94/Pw3fNnEPeRI/s1600/P1090235.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<div align="justify" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Pork innard porridge. I particularly love the smooth silky porridge. You don't even need to chew.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
We then walked around Senado Square and did some pastries shopping before back to hotel. You will see there are several Koi Kei Bakery shops at Senado Square. They are famous for thier crunchy peanut candy, almond cake, egg roll with seaweed and meat floss (my favourite!), and also many flavours of pork fillets! </div>

My mil gave me two packs of large prawns last two weeks and they have been sitting in my freezer since then. I hardly cook large prawns as I have no idea how to cook. My mil usually cooks sweet sour prawn. For a newbie in cooking like me, I can't cook something new during weekdays. I usually in very rush mood in preparing dinner during weekdays. So, I can only reserve them weekends. So, I searched for the large prawns recipe online. I have idea on what to do with the prawns, but I don't know how to cook. Haha. Noob in cooking! So, I looked for butter salted egg yolk prawns and it came out quite a lot! So, I tweaked a little from one of my favourite food blog, <a href="http://nasilemaklover.blogspot.com/2012/01/deep-fried-prawns-with-salted-egg-yolk.html?utm_source=BP_recent" target="_blank">Nasi Lemak Lover</a>. I omitted the curry leaves and small chilli because my little girl does not take spicy food.<br />

<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CxivOtcstgU/U3tmsWZhu2I/AAAAAAAAF6g/g9jJmN_lQK4/s1600/Butter+salted+egg+yolk+prawn.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CxivOtcstgU/U3tmsWZhu2I/AAAAAAAAF6g/g9jJmN_lQK4/s1600/Butter+salted+egg+yolk+prawn.jpg" height="400" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<b>Ingredients</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
about 10-15 large prawns (i do not weigh them) devein with shell on, clean and pat dry</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
about 50g of corn flour</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
4 cloves of garlic, chopped</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
2 salted egg yolk, steamed and mashed</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
60g butter</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<b>Method</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
1. Heat enough oil in the wok, dust the prawn with the corn flour and deep fry both sides until golden prawn (should take less than 1 minute)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
2. Remove the prawn from the wok and pat with kitchen towel, to absorb the excess oil.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
3. Remove the oil from the deep frying and clean the wok.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
4. Heat the wok with butter and saute the chopped garlic until fragrant.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
5. Add in salted egg yolk and continue to stir to prevent mixture from burning. Once the mixture bubbles, add in the deep fried prawns. Stir fry them to ensure the prawns are all well coated.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
6. Place some fresh lettuce on the plate and arrange the prawns nicely and serve immediately!</div>

I could not think what else I shall gift to the teachers except for baking something for them. I did not get anything for them last year. But I decided to bake something for them this year, since this year would be her last year in this school. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I was thinking a mini/small loaf of butter cake or cookies. But I think cookies would be better. Easily packaged with the mini glass jar. :)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I used the same recipe from <a href="http://bentomakesmehappy.blogspot.com/2014/01/chocolate-chip-cookies-recipe.html" target="_blank">Wendy</a>, but instead of using brown sugar, I used castor sugar instead. The reason, I forgot about brown sugar! </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-uC_scHJuajs/U3ock5T4SMI/AAAAAAAAF54/R-gCyWkdObY/s1600/10350334_10152128945791527_4301430389568428447_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-uC_scHJuajs/U3ock5T4SMI/AAAAAAAAF54/R-gCyWkdObY/s1600/10350334_10152128945791527_4301430389568428447_n.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
My house was smelling so good with the cookies. I have to baked them in few batches because my oven is small. I am deeply regret for not getting big built in oven. Seriously!!!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Then my happiest time come, the first bite.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vTVsml0EMXk/U3oer0VRryI/AAAAAAAAF6E/AjST5D5zbV8/s1600/988467_10152128943061527_5186491941863448640_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vTVsml0EMXk/U3oer0VRryI/AAAAAAAAF6E/AjST5D5zbV8/s1600/988467_10152128943061527_5186491941863448640_n.jpg" height="400" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Do you see that?? The chocolate is melting! I was like, OH MY GOD!!!!! I finally found the right chocolate chips!! I used Hershey's semi sweet chocolate chips. RM18.50 for a small pack! It is expensive as compared to those from bakery supplies shop, but it is all worth it! Worth it!!! And the problem now, what shall I do with the leftover chocolate chips from those bakery supplies shop? Lesson learnt from the baking today is, only use GOOD quality chocolate chips or chocolates for baking that needs CHOCOLATE. I found it now, Hershey's semi sweet chocolate chips! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-1N8NF-dsqow/U3oiK5XlnWI/AAAAAAAAF6Q/Wy75t4D6EQs/s1600/1184829_10152129443541527_3720666636569564180_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-1N8NF-dsqow/U3oiK5XlnWI/AAAAAAAAF6Q/Wy75t4D6EQs/s1600/1184829_10152129443541527_3720666636569564180_n.jpg" height="400" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
So, then I packed them in a small glass jar. :) I hope the teachers like them. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Oh ya, it was World Baking Day yesterday and so coincidence that I baked the cookies. So, happy baking day to all bakers! :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

Hello!! I know I have been missing since chinese new year. I have been stop baking since chinese new year. That is why I have nothing to blog about. But, recently, I have found back my passion in writing and baking. So, I decided to blog more in the future, not limited to only bento (although my blog titles is<i> Bento Makes Me Happy</i>) but I would blog about my baking, my food review, hotel reviews, etc. So, leave that topic aside first. Today, I'm going to share this cute mini egg cake recipe with everyone. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
There was a day, my husband asked me to bake egg cake. I asked him why. Because he would not usually requested me to bake something. He said my little girl always ask him to buy <i>kuih bahulu</i> / egg cake whenever she sees in the supermarket. I did not bake this egg cake until one or two months later, when my good friend, share this recipe with me. She told me it is easy and yummy. So, one fine day, I start to bake this mini egg cake. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I did not have much expectation in the beginning. I don't know why. haha. But everyone give me two thumbs up for this little egg cuppy! My little girl reminded me again and again to pack this mini egg cake for her to bring to school. I brought some back for my nephews and they can't stop praising my mini egg cake is so yummy! They told their mother that they must tell me that the egg cake is yummy! LOL! </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This recipe is adapted from <a href="http://rasamalaysia.com/mini-egg-cake-recipe/2/" target="_blank">Rasa Malaysia</a>.</div>

I am not a good baker nor a good cook. But I love to test the recipes and love to bake/cook. Most of the time, my baking successful rate is higher than cooking. Anyway, most importantly, both my big man and little girl in the house do not fussy about my baking/cooking and yet, they always become my "white mouse" for all my bake/cook. :)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I see a lot of people making deep fried arrowhead (nga-ku) crisps and crabstick. I am so tempted to try. It looks easy for noob baker like me. But my intention always die when thinking the amount of oil needed and my kitchen condition. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I joined a baking group in facebook and the people there are just too awesome! They share their bakes/tips/etc in the group. <a href="http://www.anncoojournal.com/2014/01/crispy-baked-cod-fish-strips-cny-2014.html" target="_blank">Ann from Anncoo Journal</a> shared this very very very addictive and easy snacks for CNY, crispy baked cod fish strips. I warn you, this is very very addictive and I gotta hide this out of my sight, otherwise, I think it will be finish before CNY. </div>

I baked non-bake blueberry cheese cupcake before and it looked really awful and not promising. Since then, I have no courage to bake a cake. It looks so difficult to me and I afraid of failure, then all my effort, time and money will go wasted. :p </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I saw this blueberry cream cheese butter cake from <a href="http://ellenaguan.blogspot.sg/2013/04/assorted-cakes-for-tea.html" target="_blank">Ellena Guan</a> and I am so tempted to try to bake one. At least one. I gathered my courage once again and put my feet down to bake.<br />
<br />
The cake was smelling so good after it came out from the oven. The cake is very moist and creamy topped with the fresh blueberries, it is very delicious! I love to have this after chill. It tastes so good to me. :) I'm so happy that I did it! Hubby non-stop compliment that this cake is very nice and even said better than those selling on the shelf! I'm flattered. :p </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
The cake before pop into the oven. I was so nervous and praying hard it turns good at that point of time. I probably stop baking cake if this failed. :p</div>

Baking marathon! I have been baking almost everyday since last two weeks. So much recipes in my mind to try for CNY. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I have seen a lot this recipe from baking bloggers, melt-in-mouth german cookies. I never tried this cookies before and after seeing so many bloggers rave about this cookies, I told myself, I should try this! The recipe is quite easy and only needs 4 ingredients. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I baked this babe last night. As it is my first time baking german cookies, I will start off with original flavour, vanilla. First thing I reached home after work is get the butter from fridge and leave it at room temperature before I have my dinner. This is what I usually do if I plan to bake for that night. :) As it was my first time tried and baked this cookies, I have nothing to compare whether it is good or not. It is indeed melt in mouth. As I have stuffy nose since yesterday afternoon, it blocked my taste bud. I can't really comment whether it is nice or not. My 3 year old girl, being my biggest fan for now, gave me thumbs up and asking me to pack some in her bento box tomorrow morning before I go to work this morning. LOL. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I bring some to office for my colleagues. Colleagues in 20s commented that it is very nice buttery and vanilla fragrant. The melt-in-mouth texture is good! Colleagues in 30s and over commented that it is too plain and suggested me to mix with ground almond. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

(adapted from <a href="http://smallsmallbaker.blogspot.com/2011/01/aspiring-bakers-3-melt-in-mouth-german.html" target="_blank">Small Small Baker</a>)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<b>Ingredients</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
125g unsalted butter, room temperature </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
40g sifted icing sugar </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
125g potato starch</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
80g superfine flour/cake flour</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
1 tsp vanilla essence <i>optional</i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<b>Method</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
1. Cream the butter and icing sugar together until light and fluffy.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
2. Add in vanilla (if any).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
3. Sift in potato starch and superfine flour. Mix well with spatula to form a soft dough. Note: my mixture appears too soft, sticky and wet to shape. I keep the dough to chill in the fridge for about 15 minutes. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
4. Roll the dough into small balls and arrange on lined baking pan and press lightly with a fork. Remember to dip the fork in the water after each press to prevent cookie dough from sticking to the fork. I didn't in the beginning and the cookie dough keep on sticking on the fork and it really frustrated me and I almost wanted to throw away all the dough! LOL. I keep the dough back to the fridge to chill while waiting the first batch to bake in the oven. You no need to do this if your oven able to bake all at one time (my oven is small). </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
5. Bake in pre-heated oven at 170degree for 15mins, upper rack (need not bake till cookies turn brown). I baked at 160degree for 16-17 mins as my oven only has even number temperature. :p</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Try bake this babe at your own and let me know your verdict! </div>

Hello all! I have been stopping to blog on my bento for quite some time. The reasons are because I only pack very simple snack bento for my little girl to daycare/nursery which I don't think the bento is worth to blog about. It is just very simple one. But I do take photos of the bentos I made occasionally. I update in my <a href="http://web.stagram.com/n/bentowithyenn/" target="_blank">IG</a> very timely usually. LOL. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
As Chinese New Year is around the corner, everyone is rushing to do spring cleaning and baking. For me, I have not started on spring cleaning yet, but I started baking. I started with almond crisps this year as I found this recipe for quite some time and I just can't wait to try! This almond crisps is a hit for my little girl and big man in the house! I uploaded my almond crisps photo to my fb wall and also baking group, and it was a hit among the baking mommies too. Many requested for the recipe, so I think it is better for me to quickly share the recipe here, so you guys manage to try this recipe for CNY bake. :)</div>

I have been wanting to do this giveaway last month, but I am just so busy that I have no time to write. Finally, the internet at my home is up! And I finally can blog. :)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<a href="http://www.thelunchpunch.com/" target="_blank">The Lunch Punch</a> team generously sent me a set of Sweet sandwich cutter and a set of Match & Munch cutter last August. I have Match & Munch set in my kitchen cabinet, so, I will be reviewing Sweet set in this post. The extra Match & Munch will be giveaway at the end of the post. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Lunch Punch series have total of 5 different designs sandwich cutters, and each of them are really cool design. <a href="http://www.thelunchpunch.com/lp/index.php/products/sweet/" target="_blank">Sweet,</a> <a href="http://www.thelunchpunch.com/lp/index.php/products/sandwishes/" target="_blank">sandwishes</a>, <a href="http://www.thelunchpunch.com/lp/index.php/products/vrrrm/" target="_blank">vrrrm!</a>, <a href="http://www.thelunchpunch.com/lp/index.php/products/critter-cutters/" target="_blank">critter cutters</a> and <a href="http://www.thelunchpunch.com/lp/index.php/products/match-munch/" target="_blank">match & munch</a>. The sweet set comes in so timely as I can use them to make cute sandwich for the kids in my daughter's school during her birthday celebration in school. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Each set comes with 4 different cutters for you to play with. For this sweet set, they have cupcake cutter, birthday cake, gumball and ice cream.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-shuhBPlJUjM/Uk6-irHetAI/AAAAAAAAFu8/U8MEtymQafg/s1600/20130811_175731.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-shuhBPlJUjM/Uk6-irHetAI/AAAAAAAAFu8/U8MEtymQafg/s400/20130811_175731.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I used this set to make 15 sets of bento for the kids in school. They are very easy to use and really saved my time in the morning. Imagine I need to prepare 15 set of sandwiches in the morning. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The cutter is so easy-friendly to use, and the size of each cutter fits most of the bread perfectly. Fyi, I was using local brand Gardenia white loaf bread. Besides, it is dishwasher safe, BPA free, PVC free and lead free too! It is also made of FDA certified food-grade plastic and the packaging are 100% recyclable. How environmental friendly it is! Super like it! :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xYVvb2R0dyU/Uk9emX0M9kI/AAAAAAAAFvM/TMJjdiblo8w/s1600/20130913_072606.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xYVvb2R0dyU/Uk9emX0M9kI/AAAAAAAAFvM/TMJjdiblo8w/s400/20130913_072606.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
This is how I make the cute sandwiches. Place your favourite shape cutter on top of a piece of bread and press on it to cut the bread. The bread may stick on the cutter. Turn to the back of the bread and use your finger and lightly press the bread onto the the cutter to get the imprint. Repeat this step for another piece of bread and now you have two cute shaped bread. Spread the fruit jam on your choice on a piece of bread. I used margarine and no sugar strawberry jam. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Sorry that I did not have time to take step by step photo and the not so nice photos, as I was rushing to prepare all this before 930am. I need to send them to school before 10am. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_ERCmSouuFg/Uk9gehMULaI/AAAAAAAAFvY/XKp2kOQljHw/s1600/IMG_20130913_2.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_ERCmSouuFg/Uk9gehMULaI/AAAAAAAAFvY/XKp2kOQljHw/s400/IMG_20130913_2.png" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
These were what I prepared for the kids in school. A simple bento which includes homemade chocolate muffin, homemade panda cookies and also a cute shape sandwiches. Besides, I also packed mini raisins and Appeton Vit-C pastilles for the kids to substitute the junk food. A sticker puzzle as a little gift to them as well. :) </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

Many asked, what do I do with my leftover cut-outs bread from my bento. So, I am just sharing what I do for my left-over cut-outs bread today. In the beginning of my bento journey, which started last year, I would usually kept them in airtight container. My maid would usually ate them as breakfast. But my maid had left us middle of last year, so no one consuming the leftover bread then. My parent in law will occasionally toast them in the oven and have it as breakfast too. Now, I keep the leftover bread in the freezer. I will use to make bread pudding, as breakfast or tea break. :)<br />
<br />

<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mmdneDfl1Fw/UlZJ7pv__PI/AAAAAAAAFzA/GcZOlsbfK6c/s1600/IMG_20130915_1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mmdneDfl1Fw/UlZJ7pv__PI/AAAAAAAAFzA/GcZOlsbfK6c/s400/IMG_20130915_1.png" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I bake them in a oven safe glass tray. You can use little ramekin if you have. :)</div>

I have been baking this recipe since end of last year as the recipe never fails me, and most importantly, everyone loves it! My little girl, kept asking one after one once it was out from oven. I have to stop her as it is very heaty to eat right after baked. So, I am going to share the chocolate chip cookies recipe today! </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-8fztJxbuPCY/UlQd2vDoGLI/AAAAAAAAFxg/5IAmwpMIJrg/s1600/Choc+chip+cookies.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-8fztJxbuPCY/UlQd2vDoGLI/AAAAAAAAFxg/5IAmwpMIJrg/s400/Choc+chip+cookies.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<b>Ingredients</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
(yield about 24 cookies)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
115g unsalted butter, soften at room temperature</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
115g caster sugar <span style="color: red;">(I reduced to 110g)</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
1 egg, lightly beaten</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
1 tsp pure vanilla extra</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
175g plain flour</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
175g plain or semisweet chocolate chips <span style="color: red;">(I used dark chocolate chips)</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: red;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<b>Method</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Line baking trays with parchment paper.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
2. Cream butter and sugar with electric mixer until the mixture turns pale and fluffy.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
3. Beat in the egg gradually. Mix well after each addition. Add in vanilla extract and mix well.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
4. Sift the flour over the mixture, fold in with spatula or wooden spoon. Fold in the chocolate chips.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
5. Drop tablespoonfuls of the cookie dough onto the prepared baking tray. Remember to leave some space between the cookies to allow for spreading. You can flatten each cookie dough slightly with the back of a fork, keeping the shape as even as possible. But I prefer uneven or rough texture cookie, so I just leave it like that. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
6. Bake for 10 mins or until golden. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Happy baking! :)</div>

I have been wanting to make panda cookies for quite some time but I dragged until now. Guess it is perfect time for me to bake for the kids in my daughter's school for her birthday celebration. I was indeed very excited to bake this cute cookies as I never try baking cartoon cookies before. But to be honest, it is quite time consuming to bake this cute panda cookies. =.= End up, I kept my leftover dough in the fridge for next day baking (I baked at night and it took me more than 2 hours to complete 45 cookies!). So you may want to consider to reduce the ingredients into half if you would like to try this recipe.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WlKL5s1vQTg/UlNwcv7glMI/AAAAAAAAFxQ/xRnbHu3E33A/s1600/Panda+Cookies.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WlKL5s1vQTg/UlNwcv7glMI/AAAAAAAAFxQ/xRnbHu3E33A/s400/Panda+Cookies.png" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The essential thing that you need for this panda cookie is definitely the panda cookie cutter. You may get them <a href="http://www.bentowithyenn.com/2012/12/cookie-cutters.html" target="_blank">here</a>, or <a href="http://www.allthingsforsale.com/bento-deco-cutter/2514-bento-accessories-cookie-ham-cheese-cutter-panda-4989082760643.html&aff=bentomakesmehapp" target="_blank">here</a>. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-qMGBJykxGMo/UlNsLpwHDzI/AAAAAAAAFxI/E34S2E-CPRE/s1600/Panda+cookies+ingredients.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-qMGBJykxGMo/UlNsLpwHDzI/AAAAAAAAFxI/E34S2E-CPRE/s400/Panda+cookies+ingredients.png" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
So, here are the ingredients you need:-</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
180g plain flour + 20g corn flour <span style="color: blue;">(A)</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
150g plain flour + 20g corn flour + 30g good quality cocoa powder <span style="color: blue;">(B)</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
200g butter, soften at room temperature</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
160g castor sugar <span style="color: red;">(I reduced to 150g)</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
2 egg yolks</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
panda cookie cutters</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<b>Method:-</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
1. Cream the soften butter and castor sugar with electric mixer, by adding in the sugar in 3 additions, until pale and fluffy.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
2. Add in egg yolk and mixed well, one at a time.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
3. Divide the dough into two mixing bowl. Add <span style="color: blue;">(A) </span>to one of the dough, and <span style="color: blue;">(B) </span>to another dough. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
4. Mixed well with spatula and form a ball with your hands and put the dough into large ziplock bag each. Roll them a little using roller and keep them refrigerated for 30 minutes.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
5. Take out the dough, roll them and cut using the panda cookie cutter.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
6. If the dough appear hard or breaks easily, leave them awhile in room temperature to soften it a little. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
7. Place the cutted dough on the baking paper.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
8. Bake at pre-heated oven at 170 degrees for about 15 minutes.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

I have been looking for an easy and yummy muffins recipe for quite some time. I am a newbie in baking and I need easy but yummy one, so I can bake some for my little girl's birthday (and I did it!)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I blog hop a lot of baking blogs and I noticed that, Nigella's chocolate chocolate chip muffins are found in most of the baking blogs. Aha, I must try then too!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
When I was going through the recipe and methods, I found that it is really simple and easy! What I love the most of this recipe is, electric mixer is not needed! Woohoo, less one thing to wash and clean. :p Simply mix the wet and dry ingredients, and mix them well. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Kdi8DGEAhYA/UjRkN_MuvZI/AAAAAAAAFro/wCmQ_MKjnPQ/s1600/Chocolate+chip+muffin.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Kdi8DGEAhYA/UjRkN_MuvZI/AAAAAAAAFro/wCmQ_MKjnPQ/s400/Chocolate+chip+muffin.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
My first try on the Nigella's chocolate chocolate chip muffins. Hubby's colleague commented a bit dry (I guess I accidentally reduced the vegetable oil) and MIL commented not so fragrant (probably no butter involved in this recipe). The rest said good! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I tried again a day before my little girl's birthday party at home, this round, tasted so much better. No dry and the texture is so right, fluffy and moist. :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Guess the second round was better, as the muffins left no more after the party. :p</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
As it is super easy recipe, I baked them again for my little girl's birthday party celebration in school. Baked for the kids and the teachers. =)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
So now, let's try to bake on your own! =)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<u>Ingredients</u></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
250g plain flour</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
2 tsp baking powder</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
1/2 tsp baking soda</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
2 tbsp best quality cocoa powder</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
175g caster sugar </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
150g chocolate chips (save 1/4 chips for sprinkling)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
250ml milk</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
90ml vegetable oil <span style="color: red;">(I used sunflower oil)</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
1 large egg</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
1 tsp pure vanilla extract</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<u>Method</u></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
1. Pre-heat the oven to 200 deg C.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
2. Put the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa powder, sugar and 3/4 of the chocolate chips into a large bowl and mix well.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
3. Pour all the liquid ingredients to another large bowl and mix well.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
4. Mix the dry and wet ingredients togather with slow and gentle strokes. Stop stirring once the last traces of flour disappear. Do not overmix. A lumpy batter will ensure the muffins stay moist and fluffy.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
5. Spoon the batter into paper muffin cases.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
6. Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 chocolate chips on top and bake for 20 minutes or until the muffins are dark, risen and springy.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Enjoy, and tell me after you try! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Happy baking! :)</div>

Hello! It takes me forever to update my little humble blog. :p I was so busy for the past two months. Busy in the preparation of moving to a new place. As we had limited funds, so, we tried to DIY wherever we can. After so much preparation and hardwork, we finally moved and settled in last weekend. In fact, I have so much things to share, so much things to blog. Allow me a little bit of time, I will update one by one before my memory fade. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Just to share, a little thing I did for my new place. =)</div>

This post has been sitting in the draft for quite some time and I only realised today. :(</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It has been quite some time I did not make french toast. So, I made mini shape french toast end of last month. I checked back the time stamp, I made in the past 10 days. LOL. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-kSulZkCApOo/UcgKTtVKrwI/AAAAAAAAFls/xAagvAEmjww/s1600/23.5+-+french+toast.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-kSulZkCApOo/UcgKTtVKrwI/AAAAAAAAFls/xAagvAEmjww/s400/23.5+-+french+toast.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Since I making mini french toast, I packed few flower shape french toast to my girl's snack box. I don't know if she likes it as she usually rejects bread. End up, she only took one piece of mini flower french toast and the rest untouched. :( As usual, she will finished all her fruits. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
This is my mini flower french toast bento for that day. Also packed red dragon fruits for myself. Teehee. My favourite fruit. :)</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Many ask, how do I celebrate my birthday then and what do you received as birthday gift? Honestly, when one grows older, especially with family and kids, I least expect something for birthday. Of course, I do hope for surprises, but nahhh...all of us are busy with work, new house stuff, etc. So, let it be. We have dinner date after work yesterday. That's all and I am happy. =) At least I had a quiet and peaceful dinner yesterday. What about birthday gift? I expect nothing, honestly. I know well that our bank accounts are almost emptied now because we are setting up our new home. He said, the HOME is my birthday gift this year. And, I accepted it. =) Our HOME is almost done but we can't move in until the chinese ghost month is over. I am OK with it, at least I have more time to clean, arrange and decor the house nicely and neatly before I move in. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Happy birthday to me, and happy birthday to Bento With Yenn. =)</div>

Malaysia and Singapore were shrouded by teribble haze since last week. It started in Singapore where the Air Pollutant Index (API) spiked up to 400 and followed by few cities in Johor, and last weekend, the haze came to Malacca. It was really bad during weekend, the API was shoot up to as high as 400 and the schools are ordered to close today. So, my little girl is staying at home with her grandma today. My eyes was dry and itchy for past few days and I have to rely on moisture eye drops all day. We wore mask when we are need to go out. I hope the haze will go away very soon. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So, today I'm going to share with everyone, simple tuna bolognese pasta. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JJUXK_ig09A/UcP9PvYgPMI/AAAAAAAAFj0/VhcWgXCdYA0/s1600/C360_2013-05-22-07-39-38-591.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JJUXK_ig09A/UcP9PvYgPMI/AAAAAAAAFj0/VhcWgXCdYA0/s400/C360_2013-05-22-07-39-38-591.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I cooked hello kitty tuna bolognese pasta for myself. This bento was made last month. Also pan-fried prawn gyoza for myself. Extra golden kiwi in the small diablock lunch box. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BqXt-slm9tU/UcP91j8pqBI/AAAAAAAAFj8/fWuqXJm-aQs/s1600/C360_2013-05-22-07-40-45-068.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BqXt-slm9tU/UcP91j8pqBI/AAAAAAAAFj8/fWuqXJm-aQs/s400/C360_2013-05-22-07-40-45-068.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Hubby prefers spaghetti than farfalle or those hello kitty shape pasta. So, I cooked angel hair pasta for him. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

Finally, I managed to source all the cute character lunch boxes, such as <a href="http://www.bentowithyenn.com/2013/02/bento-box.html" target="_blank">Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll, Tomica fire engine, Tomica police car, Winnie the Pooh and Rilakkuma</a>! They are really cute! :)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So, I picked Cinnamoroll bento box for my little girl. :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-iZnSthgz-04/UcK_2RdQo0I/AAAAAAAAFik/ZiofejDDUDc/s1600/C360_2013-05-22-07-37-22-952.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-iZnSthgz-04/UcK_2RdQo0I/AAAAAAAAFik/ZiofejDDUDc/s400/C360_2013-05-22-07-37-22-952.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I'm sure my little girl does not know about Cinnamoroll, but it's ok. Mommy seems to admire the boxes more than the little girl! LOL.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I packed her favourite chocolate love letters and golden kiwis. A simple snack bento that cheered up the little one. :)</div>

I am in the mood of catching up my outstanding bentos now. :)<br />
<br />
So, today gotta share with everyone the bento I made last month! Yup, last month! Hehehe.<br />
<br />
It is another hello kitty bento, for my little girl. :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-j2y5BK1BTwk/UcKgz8SscpI/AAAAAAAAFhk/NMZvnpjol7k/s1600/C360_2013-06-19-16-24-45-682.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-j2y5BK1BTwk/UcKgz8SscpI/AAAAAAAAFhk/NMZvnpjol7k/s400/C360_2013-06-19-16-24-45-682.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I packed golden kiwi, honeydew and koala bear's strawberry biscuits in the <a href="http://www.trudeaucorp.com/int-en/products/kids/brand/hello-kitty/p-hello-kitty-6000CAT.html" target="_blank">Hello Kitty bento box </a>from Trudeau Corp. Both golden kiwi and honeydew were cut using small hello kitty vegetable/fruits cutter which I bought recently from Japan. Yay! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-j2y5BK1BTwk/UcKgz8SscpI/AAAAAAAAFho/bkbelg-By3c/s1600/C360_2013-06-19-16-24-45-682.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-j2y5BK1BTwk/UcKgz8SscpI/AAAAAAAAFho/bkbelg-By3c/s400/C360_2013-06-19-16-24-45-682.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Here the close up of the snack bento box for my little girl. :) Opps, I also packed a kiddo pack chocolate drink for her. :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I love pasta and I guess the only thing that I can cook now besides instant noodle, fried eggs stuff, is pasta. :p<br />
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WE8Rd86yaMU/UcEWos5zTBI/AAAAAAAAFfQ/q-VrRodJWRY/s1600/15.5.13+-+ribbon+pasta.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WE8Rd86yaMU/UcEWos5zTBI/AAAAAAAAFfQ/q-VrRodJWRY/s400/15.5.13+-+ribbon+pasta.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Simple bolognese sauce farfalle pasta. I sprinkled some chia seeds on top. I love the diablock silicon baran as it makes my lunch box colorful and pretty! I packed the leftover honeydew in small diablock lunch box. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_wVKERX2Jpo/UcEXPOtGIZI/AAAAAAAAFfY/y9w9C-FzFtU/s1600/15.5.+random.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_wVKERX2Jpo/UcEXPOtGIZI/AAAAAAAAFfY/y9w9C-FzFtU/s400/15.5.+random.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I packed honeydew (cut using Funbite Cube iT) and also sugar crackers. My girl does not likes bread. She prefers biscuits or crackers. I am quite surprised when I found out that she likes this type of crackers. You know, those plain crackers that we use to dip into coffee or milo and eat it as breakfast. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
