Crispy Baked Cod Fish Strips

I am not a good baker nor a good cook. But I love to test the recipes and love to bake/cook. Most of the time, my baking successful rate is higher than cooking. Anyway, most importantly, both my big man and little girl in the house do not fussy about my baking/cooking and yet, they always become my "white mouse" for all my bake/cook. :)

I see a lot of people making deep fried arrowhead (nga-ku) crisps and crabstick. I am so tempted to try. It looks easy for noob baker like me. But my intention always die when thinking the amount of oil needed and my kitchen condition.

I joined a baking group in facebook and the people there are just too awesome! They share their bakes/tips/etc in the group. Ann from Anncoo Journal shared this very very very addictive and easy snacks for CNY, crispy baked cod fish strips. I warn you, this is very very addictive and I gotta hide this out of my sight, otherwise, I think it will be finish before CNY.

Bento No# 129: Cinnamoroll Bento

Finally, I managed to source all the cute character lunch boxes, such as Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll, Tomica fire engine, Tomica police car, Winnie the Pooh and Rilakkuma! They are really cute! :)

So, I picked Cinnamoroll bento box for my little girl. :)

I'm sure my little girl does not know about Cinnamoroll, but it's ok. Mommy seems to admire the boxes more than the little girl! LOL.

I packed her favourite chocolate love letters and golden kiwis. A simple snack bento that cheered up the little one. :)

I am sharing where you can get similar items that I used in this post :)

Bento No# 124: Angry Bird Bento

Happy Wesak Day to all Buddhists! It is a public holiday here in Malaysia, but again, my company does not observe this day. So, I am at work right now. :p

I bought angry bird plunger cutter from an online store. So, I was thinking to try with the new cutters.

Angry bird kaya sandwich for my girl. The imprint is not so visible. I guess because of the bread that I used and also partly because of the cutter as it is plunger type. Also includes her favourite korean strawberries.

I am sharing where you can get similar items that I used in this post :)

Bento No# 110: My Melody Bento

I took holiday from bento since Chinese New Year and only resumed to make bento two weeks after. Woohooo! I went for holiday with my family after the Chinese New Year one week break to Langkawi. :) It was my little girl's first time fly on board! She was so excited! :)

I was a bit worry that she may refused to go to school after more than a week off. Luckily, she still willing to go to school, but still cried whenever daddy leaves her in school. :(

So, I will usually make snack bento for her to bring to school, to cheer her up. :)

Finally I got the Mickey sandwich box, which I have always wanted for long time ago. I packed seedless grapes (underneath the My Melody sandwich), korean strawberries and blueberries. Now the little girl knows that this is "Melody" everytime she sees this cute little girl. :)

Bento No# 109: Qi's Bento

Okay, I still managed to blog another post before I'm flying off tomorrow morning.

I have nothing much left at home as it was friday, 1/2. I thought of skipping making bento for my girl that day until I saw this ugly looking (being pressed on) raisin cupcake on the dining table. So, I packed this raisin cupcake, mini mandarin orange and seedless grapes. I arranged the grapes around the mini mandarin orange put on her name, Qi.

I showed her the bento after she woke up and told her that the two alphabets represent her name, Qi, she smiled looking at me. Awww...how sweet! :)

Before I end my post, just to share with everyone that I received a parcel from Funbites. I will be having giveaway at the last week of February! So, stay tune!

Bento No# 106: Snack Bento

My girl is attending half day enhancement class and the class ended at 12pm. She then will takes bath and lunch in school. It is good that most of the kids lunches are home cooked by the Principal's father. My girl will usually knock off in the car within 10 mins on the way back and the journey back home is about 45mins drive. It is really a looooong journey.

She will continue to sleep after reach home and when she wakes up, she will keep asking for food. Thus, I made her snack bento again this afternoon. :))

A very simple one. Golden kiwis, blueberries and apricot yogurt in the little pail. I then added bee and ladybird cupcake decor, otherwise it is too plain. Hehe. I also spelt out her last name "QI" for her. It's simple isn't it?

Bento No# 100: Snack Bento

I'm too busy to post my bento daily. >.< This snack bento was prepared on last Wednesday.

I was cracking my head what shall I include for my little girl's snack bento. Thus, I only includes seedless grapes and honey cornflakes cup which I baked the day before.

Added hello kitty pick and baran and voila! It's done. I try not to pack too much food for her as she will having her lunch in nursery after 2 hours of morning break. I try to put variety of food into the box, especially fruits.

Bento No# 99: Panda Bento

I was so happy when my girl finally takes bread. So, my bento journey starts to begin again. Hehehe. My little girl, QiQi is a small eater and I does not really sure if she able to finish them or not. Thus, I prepared in small portion.

Panda nutella sandwich using Cutezcute cutter. I added seedless grapes for her and panda picks on top. A bit too plain. I added the animal baran to the box. Ta-daa..fast and easy snack bento for her morning tea break. Oppss, i made this for her on last Tuesday. :) I will catch up my daily snack bentos soon! :)

Bento No# 98: Rilakkuma Bento

Hello friends! I am so sorry that I did not update my blog for quite a few months. I feel so guilty! Ahhhh...I wish I have 36 hours a day!

Okay...a brief update that I am now back to bento! I am no more making bento for my niece as her school now provides morning tea break and lunch! Her mom not even prepares her breakfast too. LOL. However, I am now back to bento for my little girl! Yay!! Finally, I able to make bento for my little girl!

My girl is 2 year old and I am sending her to half day right brain development centre. I only started to make snack bento for her on her third week of school.

She does not really takes sandwich or bread at home. So, I spread nutella on the sandwich for her. I used rilakkuma cutter as it is small. But there are actually two rilakkumas there. LOL. I packed some seedless grapes for her as she likes grapes. As this is my first time introducing bento for her, I tried to minimise all the decor until she knows how to handle them. Besides, I don't know if my picks will get lost or not. Hahaha..

Guess what? When I picked her up from school, the principal told me she finished her bento! She even asked for more porridge for her lunch. I am so happy and proud of my little girl. I believe, she will be very soon adapting her school life, although she still crying badly every morning! =.=
